I met my good friend Ruth Coberly, on line though some music related group which has long slipped my mind. She was wondering what we thought she should name her most recent composition, a musical setting of Abraham Lincoln’s 1865 inaugural address. It was preformed by The Adams State University Concert Choir, and conducted by Dr Beth Robison. John Colson is the Trumpet soloist. Ever since then I have explored her wonderful choral compositions and hymns. Her melodic and harmonic language captures the texts and brings deeper meanings. I strongly recommend you listen to everything she has written.
